What exactly IS Hoodia and why would a person think that such a substance is safe?

   it’s a plant from Africa that the Kalahari bushmen chew on when they will be away from home for an extended period of time ( like a hunting trip )…to curb their appetite

   I have personally experimented withhoodia and found it to be quite beneficial. (When taking the standardized 20:1 ratio which is more pure form hoodia)

   It is great as an appetite supressant, as the previous post said it was origionally used by bushmen to supress hunger on long journeys.

   It is also good for those who are hypo-glycemic such as myself, since it does not offset your blood-sugar. It actually makes you crave healthier foods. I lost about 15-20 lbs.

   I suggest the brand “NOW”

   Doctors have been trained to use man made medicines (which amazingly enough, have been developed from herbal remedies). They are very wary of anything that doesn’t come in a prescription, and sadly, they don’t bother to learn about herbal supplements. And think about this – do the doctors make any money if you’re in good health?

   I’m taking a supplement called Herbalean, and it contains Hoodia for appetite suppression as well as Ephedra, which was unbanned this year and is now legal. It also contains 77 trace minerals and herbs, so it’s a pretty well rounded formula.

   I was at a point where I snacked all the time, and combined with long hours at work and hardly any exercise, I was gaining weight pretty quickly. Since I’m taking Herbalean, I’ve started losing weight again even though I haven’t been able to get more exercise. I also don’t have any snack cravings during the day, and the Ephedra gives me an all day energy boost.

   Hoodia has worked for me…and with no side effects.

   #3. Keep in mind it stops your hunger pangs…you MUST remember to break your habit to always eat at certain times.
